A DISC profile is a tool that describes human behaviours in various situations, measuring tendencies and preferences with no judgement regarding value or alignment with a skill set or job classification.
It is based on the results of a DISC assessment, which provides insights about personal strengths, communication preferences and behavioural traits. DISC is an acronym that stands for the four main behavioural styles outlined in the DISC model: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. This profile is used as a method of insight and personal development to help your people understand and themselves and work more effectively with others.
Benefits to you and your team include;
Understanding how and why your people behave the way they do can help transform the performance of any organisation.
Sometimes your people have talents that lie dormant, unnoticed and left going to waste, stopping them from fulfilling their true potential.
Empathy between team members improves as they become more understanding of how and why each person behaves and the way they do. Misunderstandings and conflicts are reduced.
Your leaders become more informed about the behaviours of their team members and are better equipped to be able to manage performance.
There can be cultural issues within the company that the leadership aren’t addressing because they have ‘blind spots’ in certain areas of the needs of its people.
DISC will help you better engage, motivate and develop your leaders and leaders of the future.
Your recruitment processes will benefit greatly using this tool as it will give you a deeper insight into how your potential employees will behave under pressure.
This tool will support your onboarding strategy and processes to ensure your new team members are supported more fully from day 1.
I would highly recommend DISC profiling for anyone looking to improve their own or staff output or building on staff relationships in order to really maximise productivity within the work place.”
